Audience Feedback

We categorised our results into age groups to allow us to analyse our questionnaire results in greater detail and see if any trends or patterns were present. The age categories were 15-20 years old, 21-25 years old and 26-35 years old.
15 - 20 year olds Category

  • Generally, the younger category agreed that the genre of our music video was of the 'indie' type and that te visual style fo the video and the actors was similar to that of rock videos.
  • A majority of the category however found it hard to establish that the singer was the girl's gaurdian angel and some were confused byt he fact that he was the sinsger and an actor in the video.
  • Overall, they enjoyed the video and though that it get better at the end, whereas in the earlier scenes it was almost 'cheesy'.

21-25 year olds Category

  • Thsi category was hugely similar to the younget category, establishing the video as "soft rock" and "indie".
  • The majority of the group found that the piccadilly circus scene was their favourite sequence with the use of colour and the atmosphere of the lively city and speeding traffic. Howvere found that the ending sequence was perhaps slightly random and didin't fir in with the rest of the music video.
  • The main problem with our music video was the lip syncing, some of the viewers noticed scenes in which the performance shots were not quite in sync with the lyrics.

26-35 year olds Category

  • This category differed the most out of the groups as it established the genre as more of a punk/pop/rock genre.
  • the major problem that the group had with the music video was the understanding of the narrative and the undersatnding the rwson behind the girl's suicide. Many of the viewers did not understand that her boyfriend had been killed in war and that she was committing suicide rather than live without him. They were also confused by the reason for the faded character/gaurdain angel as he wasnt in shot all of the time.
